Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" has been on top of
Billboard's Hot 100 list for the past seven weeks (because it's all kinds of amazing), but this week,
Tay has officially been dethroned by none other than hit-makers Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson with their new smash hit, "Uptown Funk."
We have to admit, if any song had to knock the amazing Tay out of her
#1 spot, "Uptown Funk" is definitely one we could live with, seeing as
we've had the dance party jam on repeat ever since it dropped.
We're just bummed that with two guys taking the top spot, it ends the
19-week streak of women holding the #1 spot (before Tay's "Blank Space"
was #1, Meghan Trainor was holding down the spot with "All About That
Bass"). *sigh*
But it's still so amazing that Tay and Meghan were able to make such a mark for women in music. #GirlPower
Congrats to Bruno and Mark on their #1, but don't get
too comfortable—we're sure Tay has another #1 up her sleeve coming soon!
