Harry, Liam, Niall, Zayn and Louis made more than £49million as a band and experts say their earning potential is booming
The lads in One Direction make their fans scream with excitement – and the band’s accountants must be pretty happy too.
Each member of the group raked in close to £6million last year, according to the latest accounts filed by the chart toppers.
The papers submitted to Companies House reveal they turned over £49.1million in 2013, which is £134,000 per day.
And
the documents show that the group – Harry Styles, 20, Liam Payne, Niall
Horan and Zayn Malik, all 21, and 22-year-old Louis Tomlinson – each
paid themselves a salary of £5.6million.
However, the figures do not appear to take into account the band’s income from the US where they have also enjoyed huge success.
A source said: “Their earning power has rocketed over the past 12 months.
“Who
knows what the next year will bring? It’s not bad considering they only
finished in third place when they were on The X Factor.”
The band’s earnings are a big increase from 2012 when they turned over £18.1million, and each received £2million.
All five members of the group own a fifth of the business, which is called 1D Media Limited.
It is one of four UK firms set up by the band.
The boys have shifted 45 million records worldwide and had sell-out tours in the past two years.
Money has also been pouring in from endorsements and the sales of DVDs and merchandise.
Their
latest single – Steal My Girl, which features Hollywood star Danny
DeVito, 69, in the video alongside a chimpanzee – went to No 3.
The boys have all splashed cash on plush homes.
Harry spent £6million on an LA mansion and a house in North London.
Zayn bought a £2.2million property in the capital, a £1.5million pad in LA, and a £280,000 house in Bradford for mum Trisha.
