Helipad on Burj Al Arab It Is Not Used Only For Helicopters

With its design mimicking the sail of a ship, the 321m luxury hotel has been one of the great symbols of the Emirate since it opened in December 1999.

But it has proven to be much more than a hotel, with its helipad, some 210m up, in particular, playing host to a number of stunts over the years – from tennis and table tennis superstars, to Formula 1 and classic cars. And some of the world’s greatest golfers have also teed off from the spectacular venue.

And it was revealed earlier this year that, for a starting price of around $55,000 (AED200,000), couples can enjoy a romantic wedding in the sky on the now famous helipad.
